    Tapada de Mafra

    Created after the Convent´s construction in the reign of King João V, Tapada de Mafra was a leisure and entertainment place to be used by the monarchy. Today it stands out as a natural patrimony of unique features with an area of over 800 hectares where deers, fallow deers, wild boars, foxes, birds and many other species dwell in a beautiful and diversified flora. Travel in the Tapada by articulated train or by following its pedestrian trails.

    José Franco Village

    Visit José Franco's ceramics workshop in Sobreiro village, where you can appreciate the most traditional aspects of life in the local villages and watch the incredible animated miniatures.
